Sterling H Redd

Sterling has had an identified interest in writing since one of his grandmothers recognized and acknowledged it to him during his teens. He finished his BS degree in Sociology and English at Brigham Young University following a year of active military service during the Berlin Crisis. Upon graduation, he taught high school English for several years in the Salt Lake area. Then, after receiving his MSW degree at the University of Utah, he served for over thirty years as a clinical social worker and writer/editor for the Utah State Department of Health. Sterling has served as a humanitarian volunteer in New Zealand. He has also served in numerous service opportunities among diverse cultures in Missouri as well as in Utah, and has served in teaching and leadership roles in his local church. Since his retirement, he hasserved at an employment resource center assisting a widely diverse patronage in personal resume writing. He has also served as a group leader in an addiction recovery program, working in support groups with people both in and out of the Utah Department of Corrections facility for the Salt Lake Valley. Sterling has a love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well as a love of people, nature, adventure, classical music, literature, and writing. He is the father of five grown children, and is currently residing in Salt Lake City with his wife Fusako and their pet cats.The published works of Sterling include The Resource Manual for Parents of Children with Special Health-care Needs, editor of the latest edition of A Story to Tell, Joseph Speaks, and The Reader-Friendly Life of Christ, Jesus Christ’s Life: You Gotta Read This!, Poetry: A Delightful Journey Through Life.
