Ulrich Holzbaur

Ulrich D. Holzbaur studied Mathematics and Physics at Ulm University where he was also employed as a teaching assistant in the Institute for Operations Research. He holds a Dipl.-Math. (MSc in Mathematics) and a Dr.rer.nat (Ph.D.) from Ulm University. From 1985 to 1990, Holzbaur worked for Telefunken Systemtechnik (now EADS Cassidian) as a software systems engineer and as head of the airborne radar software team. Holzbaur became professor at Aalen University in 1990. His current lectures and research comprise sustainable development, quality and project manage¬ment. Using projects intensively in his lectures, his research focuses also on the management and use of projects in industry and education. Holzbaur is head of the Steinbeis Transfer Centre for Applied Management. Holzbaur published several books mainly in special fields of management, and scientific papers as well as contributions to proceedings. In 2010, Holzbaur was appointed as a Visiting professor in the faulty of management and economics and as a supporter and project manager with Prof. Jordaan for the sustainability@cut project on implementing sustainable development at CUT.
