Geneviève Behrend

Genevieve Behrend (1881-1960) was a pioneering voice in the New Thought movement and the only personal student of renowned Mental Science teacher Thomas Troward. Born in Paris and drawn to spiritual exploration, she discovered Troward's writings and, using the very techniques she would later teach-visualization, affirmation, and belief-manifested the means to study with him in England. After returning to the U.S., she founded New Thought schools in New York and Los Angeles, and spent over 30 years lecturing across North America. Her most influential work, Your Invisible Power, has remained in print for more than a century and continues to inspire readers today, including being referenced in the bestselling book The Secret.
