When We Are Born is a unique live performance film that explores the themes of rituals, relationships and our inner landscape through music from Ólafur Arnalds' latest album, 'some kind of peace'. Recorded and performed live on location in Iceland in summer 2020 and directed by visionary filmmaker Vincent Moon. Like the album that inspired it, the journey through the surreal world of When We Are Born is ultimately focused on how we all move forward - a theme made especially potent in the times of disconnect and isolation it emerged from.

Beautiful atmospheric piece that moved me to tears. Love Olafur Arnalds music, but this video combined contemporary dance, stunning landscapes and live musicians to create something extra special for all the senses.

I have loved the music of Olafur for years, this short film is a perfect accompaniment for his most recent album. If you havent heard some of the music and closed your eyes and thought about what it would depict visually then get this now!

It always inspires me to know there are people out there sharing creative work. It's beautiful. Thank you!
