Passion, greed and duplicity entangle an African-American drifter, a struggling Russian immigrant, and an aging white southerner while they pursue their American dream. Louisiana farmer George Good's life changes forever when he takes in the troubled and lost Sonny Jordan, and Sonny begins an affair with George's beautiful Russian wife.
