Dal maestro della narrazione Guillermo del Toro, una favola ultraterrena ambientata durante la Guerra Fredda in America negli anni '60. Intrappolata in una vita isolata in un laboratorio governativo di massima sicurezza, Elisa (Sally Hawkins), una muta addetta alla manutenzione, scopre un esperimento top secret. Da lì, comincia un inaspettato viaggio trasformativo amoroso, in questa magica storia che vede protagonista anche Octavia Spencer.

I honestly don't know why I keep buying movies on this platform because Google clearly doesn't care about their presentation. This is a great film, but I'm removing a star because there are scenes with Russian dialogue and ASL that only get subtitles if the viewer had the full closed-captioning enabled. This means that, if you want to know what is being said in that smattering of scenes, but don't want CC subtitles to let you know when 🎶 is playing, you are SoL.

I couldn't find the 1 and 2 star reviews so I could review them and see if I wanted to rent or buy this movie.

A beautiful story about love. And how nothing can tear it apart. It makes me want to live life underwater. And I'm glad this movie won the Oscar for Best Picture.
