Calificaciones y opiniones

Great Film. Suspense was built up with an ebb and flow of viewpoints. Sympathy was ambiguous and fluid in the first half. It's hard to write about this movie without spoilers. I'll do my best. I'm not good at this so maybe best to sop reading. In the second half the villain is more obviously revealed and he is a villain. But the end is like something out an M Night Shymalan film. A weird one from JJ Abrams but very entertaining.

You watch the movie waiting for aliens/monsters. Instead this is a psycho thriller film with a weird sci-fi ending in order to make it part of the "cloverfield universe". The "reveal" is too subtle a part of the film. I get the realism of the unknown, but the audience know/expect more from a storyline they already have a background story to from the first film. It's either a good thriller film with a bizzare ending, or a disappointing sci-fi movie. The middle ground this time around isn't the best of both.

As it begins we quickly start forming in our head what looks like a very predictable storyline of a girl who's involved in car crash. Rescued by a not so nice guy and has to escape? Cut to the last ten mins and you're saying WTF! Were suddenly in the movie war of the world's. Strange to say the least. The only good thing about this movie is John Goodman.
