Kuhusu filamu hii

In the year 2035, convict James Cole (Bruce Willis) volunteers reluctantly to be sent back in time by scientists to discover the origin of a deadly virus that wiped out nearly all of the earth's population decades earlier. But when Cole is sent mistakenly to 1990 instead of 1996, he's arrested and locked up in a mental hospital, where he meets a psychiatrist (Madeleine Stowe) and the son (Brad Pitt) of a famous virus expert (Christopher Plummer).

In spite of the disoriantation of the plot, a complicated thick story is what makes a movie interesting (also, the premise is really deep). the acting is fantastic, Bruce Willis's character has lots of layers and makes him very interesting. the movie has surprising comedy that's well scripted. and has a great script in some elements. Overall: the story is a bit jumbled, but this is an interesting, clever, surprisingly funny diversion.

It's very entertaining but for some reason I am found myself needing to boost the audio to the max. Not sure if it is due to the media or maybe something else.

Terry Gilliam's time travel epic takes our hero into a fever dream in which the audience is feeling just unsure if Cole is actually moving through time, or if he is just crazy! Bruce Willis' usual brand of acting is perfect for this role, making him seem scary, lost, scared, and unsure, able to switch moods as the story needs him to. Brad Pitt is crazy, lighting up the screen whenever he appears. Madeleine Stowe's character is caught in the middle of this craziness and is, just like the audience, lost and unsure until the end. This is dystopian sci-fi/time travel at its best.
