I seen this movie when it first came out on DVD. In the version that i seen, after Cusack burns down the room, firemen busted into the room, and saved Cusack from burning alive, i don't remember there being any burial scene. The rest of the ending was roughly the same, after the fireman saved Cusack. This is still, and was originally i very good movie, despite the different ending. I always thought John Cusack played in the best horror movies, and i think they should make a second movie like this one. Maybe they could call it room 1409, or Room 1410. Same idea, but new, and different scares, and thrills.

I have seen this movie before but it's been so long I thought I would watch it again for fun. Great movie, but the ending in this version is not the same from when I saw it before. It's so different I actually did not like this ending and prefer the original.i just thought it was odd that it did not mention that before renting, they usually do say its an editors cut or alternate ending something like that . Anyhow it's still Great movie I just liked the original ending.

This is yet another horrible version of this film. The original theatrical ending is not on this version. This is the same as the other ending that I reviewed before with only minor changes. It seems the director does not want the theatrical ending to ever be seen again. Misleading marketing on behalf of the crew that released this digital version. John Cusack's excellent performance in the final scene is sorely missed.
