At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic's George MacKay) and Blake (Game of Thrones' Dean-Charles Chapman), are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers-Blake's own brother among them.

The story was good, but needed some working to be honest. I saw a lot of Englishman with Scottish/Irish names such as Benedict Cumberbatch's role. Colonel MacKenzie or something. As I said, the movie was alright.

Super intense and cleverly filmed. Also, it strays from typical war movie plots, which was an interesting change

I thought 1917 when I whached it in cinema it was slow not much of a story line to it but I was good filming tho
