Sam Mendes, the Oscar®-winning director of Skyfall, Spectre and American Beauty, brings his singular vision to this World War I epic. At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic's George MacKay) and Blake (Game of Thrones' Dean-Charles Chapman), are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers—Blake's own brother among them.

Very disappointed with this movie I had wanted to see this bit missed it in the cinemas and then read these guys reviews up above 🖕🤥and thats total nonsense a war movie that shows really no war fighting scene... i was gutted i had waited so long to see and this is what we all get... do not pay 24 for this movie st this price go to video ezy rental kiosk on tuesdays $2 day and have a look for promocodes to use and get for free google play very unhappy about your prices

I grew up watching war films, (saving private Ryan, blackhawk down, brave heart, atonement, American sniper, the list goes on) They are amongst my favourite to watch thanks to my dad. I really don't understand the 1 star reviews. I absolutely loved this film and I anticipated its release. I'd ignore the 1 star reviews and give it a watch, it's well worth it.

This movie isn't a "war" movie you are used to. I watched this in the cinemas, and I will admit it got slightly boring. But the point of this movie is not action, it is to outline the real horrors and processes of war, and to in more detail, show us more of what World War I was like. If you want an action movie, go watch Fury. But this movie isn't for the regular genre of war, it's as I said, a dedicated film to those who served and to show us what it was like
