The thrilling sequel to Stanley Kubrick's sci-fi masterpiece, "2001: A Space Odyssey," stars Academy Award-nominee Roy Scheider ("Jaws," "All That Jazz") as an American astronaut sent on a joint U.S.-Soviet space mission to Jupiter in an effort to find out what happened to the missing crew of the original Jupiter mission. The comparisons to the first film end there. You've never heard of this film for good reason.

The movie is OK but it's definitely not a masterpiece like Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. What I'm very disappointed with is the image quality of the HD version. They used too much image compression resulting in noisy and blocky pictures. Because of this, I regret having bought the movie.
