Absolutely the worst and most stupid film I have ever seen. Anybody who thought this was a good film must be a complete moron. Special effects are nothing now, I can do them on my computer. This film was just pathetic clichés, over blown effects and hammy acting from start to finish and this was probably the first movie I've seen where I was rooting for the natural disaster and looking forward to seeing every single effing character on my screen die horribly. Over 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

This is a disaster movie with dark undertones and a few comic moments, as it really does feel like the end of the world. Roland Emmerich's best in my opinion. This dude needs to direct a Star Wars movie soon, as he also knows how to tell an epic, well paced and engaging story on screen. Watch his non-genre movie The Patriot for proof of this.

The story is ok but it's just far too cheesy in some places and it could have been much better. The special effects are great and as I said, I loved the mass destruction. That part was really fun to watch but also terrifying at the same time...
