About this movie

James and Carl were only ten-years old when they kidnapped and murdered three-year old David McClendon. They were caught, tried, convicted and placed in separate juvenile facilities. At eighteen-years old, both are given new names and released back into society, much to the horror of the nation. The story follows the lives of these two boys and they try to start over, escape the past and survive the growing outcry following their release.

The human brain is not fully developed until the age of 26. The frontal lobe is the last to mature and this controls impulses, decision making skills, as well as reasoning. It is not fair to punish someone for the rest of their life for something they do at age ten. They do deserve a second chance. HOWEVER they should have been monitored much more closely inside the facility and when they were released. They sent up all kinds of red flags. This movie was distasteful at best.

Making money at the expense of the murder of a little boy. It wouldn't be so bad if it focused on how difficult life was for the parents of the murdered boy. But no it focuses on the poor, hard done by murdering scum. I will not be giving my money to these people. May not be true story but to everyone in England it replicates the James Bulger murder.

I agree. This sounds exactly like the murder in the UK. This is a very distasteful film and I too will not contribute to the money making end of this discusting murder of that little boy. Those 2 boys should have been stoned to death just like they did to that little boy. I remember this incident happening and it was very evil!!!
