About this movie

The epic graphic novel by Frank Miller (Sin City) assaults the screen with the blood, thunder and awe of its ferocious visual style faithfully recreated in an intense blend of live-action and CGI animation. Retelling the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, it depicts the titanic clash in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his massive Persian army. Experience history at swordpoint. And moviemaking with a cutting edge. MPAA Rating: R ©

Plot wise its what I would expect from an action film based on a comic book, based on something that happened 2500 years ago! It is what it is, but there could be a lot of political scenes left out altogether in my opinion. I thought it was very stylish, with great cinematic sequences punctuated by one liners Arnie would be proud of! Thoroughly enjoyed the film as a whole. Dont expect a serious history lesson though!

Don't expect anything more than gory, visceral fighting...and if you expected anything else, you picked the wrong film. The action is entertaining but the film deserves no more than 3 stars.

The only purpose of this film is to insult Iranian people and to stain Persian history. I don't know what kind of advantage Hollywood gains from being totally controlled by these Zionists. They only think about how to disgrace Islam and Islamic nations. I feel sorry for them.
