Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy make one of the most unusual and entertaining teams ever in Walter Hill's rollercoaster thriller, 48 Hrs. Nolte is a rough-edged cop after two vicious cop-killers. He can't do it without the help of smooth and dapper Murphy, who is serving time for a half-million dollar robbery. This unlikely partnership trades laughs as often as punches as both pursue their separate goals: Nolte wants the villains, Murphy wants his money and some much-needed female companionship. I think this was his first major motion picture release. I saw it dozens of times at the movies and on VHS. Yeah I'm showing my age. Still a great movie!

One of Eddie Murphy's best movies. he clicked really well with the other star in this movie. They did not click as well in #2

This movie has getting me in the story and in the zone, Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy were amazing together in this film. 💯
