'71 is not an action movie, It's a silent thriller that has a lot of intensity & suspense without using much action, which is actrually great. Actor Jack O' Connell gives another outstanding performance & proves he can really act. However, the lack of information of the film is quite disappointing, but for a thriller, it's really good. So '71 is definitely worth renting or even buying because it succeeds at being a intense thriller with very little action & keeps you intrigued until the very end.

It was a captivating film. It didn't pull any punches, and you never got a biased opinion on the conflict. You could sense the confusion, the anger and all the emotions during that time period in this film. Very well done. A very well done film.

Very well done movie... brutal war... the people of Northern Ireland are still feeling the effects of that war many many decades later... I think the reason not many people saw this movie was because not many people know about or understand what that conflict was all about....
