Bleak, haunting and strangely beautiful, 9 offers a glimpse into director Shane Acker's unique vision of a post-apocalyptic world. Be warned: despite its cute-looking cast, 9 is decidedly not for children. Its deeply oppressive atmosphere barely lets up for a moment, and it features some of the most disturbing monsters this side of Pan's Labyrinth. There is little here for youngsters to love, but for any older viewers looking for a one-of-a-kind gem, this may be right up your alley.

That's the best dark animated film. I saw it on Netflix maybe twice or three times. It was dark, creepy, great, awesome, and even excellent! I liked the film and it was a bit sad that 2, 8, 5, 6 and 1 were killed by the Fabrication Machine. It's rated PG-13, but I liked it. Also seen the 2005 short of the same name. Best PG-13 movie I've ever saw!

Fantastic film, one of the best animated films I have seen in a very long time, with some big name actors doing the voices. My children love this film and I'm hoping for a sequel, fingers crossed (eh Mr Spielberg).
