Directed by the award-winning Michael Winterbottom (24 Hour Party People, In This World,  Wonderland), the film charts the intensely emotional and physical relationship between Matt (Kieran O'Brien - 24 Hour Party People, My Kingdom) and Lisa (Margo Stilley), a young American student in London, from their first encounter at the Brixton Academy to their eventual split. Intercutting between the couple's uninhibited sexual encounters and electrifying gig footage of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Von Bondies, Elbow, Primal Scream, The Dandy Warhols, Super Furry Animals, Franz Ferdinand and Michael Nyman, 9 Songs tells a truly modern love story.

I don't know what I expected from this... It was basically music. Awkward sex between 2 unattractive people and then awkwardly cringey little scenes in the middle. If it's porn you want, don't waste your time on this!

Absolutely awful film,the sex is tedious and very boring to watch after the 2nd time. It's not remotely sexy at all and the film is utterly pointless
