A modern twist on an enduring classic -- Katie (Lucy Hale), dreams of being a recording artist but is continually thwarted by her cruel stepmother, Gail (Missi Pyle), and her stepsister, Bev (Megan Park). When Katie falls hard for Luke (Freddie Stroma), the new boy at her Performing Arts school, she tries to get his attention with her singing. However, her stepmother has other ideas and her stepsister mistakenly gets credit and Luke falls for the wrong girl. At the school's talent showcase Katie must learn to believe in herself to win Luke and succeed in her dreams of getting a recording contract.

loved it. Its not like very Cinderella story. its not all bad and run away with a prince charming. she goes to school and a record label. its not a easy as said, but nothings impossible, she wanted to sing and now she does....a great family movie, I would watch it a couple times with mine..

It was so good it was a little cheesey because its just like the one with selena gomez i just wish i could buy it
