I did not love it but it gets 5 stars for its cinematography. It really is like being dragged behind a horse but on a pillow; you are not getting hurt but you want it to end soon. Its an eye-full for sure. Very unique and interesting if you are in the mindset to analyze and interpret. I have not read the book so I cannot compare or contrast each. I will say, that if you are not in the midframe to use your brain, I would recommend watching something else. I don't feel that I was stuck to the screen and in many parts, was hoping it would end soon, then something would happen that kept dragging me along the ride. Definitely interesting and no wonder its a cult classic. It's a jacked up movie that you love and hate.

The content of this film is not for everyone. Rape, murder, "ultra violence", torture - the list goes on. Many viewers will stop there and see nothing beyond the vulgarity. But, for those who can appreciate the cinematic mastery of this Kubrick film, it becomes a favorite. Once again we find Stanley's perfect implementation of classical music to set tone and emotion for each scene. Malcom McDowell plays Alex so well it's downright disturbing. The opening shot of the film in the Korova Milk Bar sets the tone. The first 30 minutes are just in your face. This film also brought on death threats to Stanley Kubrick and he eventually had it pulled from England to never be shown again.

What can you expect, this movie is directed by Stanley Kubrick, one of the greatest if not THE greatest director of all time. This movie shows us a dystopian futuristic Britain as Alex narrates the polarizing story of him and his 3 droogs. I don't want to say too much about the plot, but depending on what kind of movies you like this one is a must see.
