Paul Edgecomb trodde inte på underverk. Men en dag ändrade han uppfattning. Paul Edgecomb var på 30-talet vaktchef vid en avdelning för dödsdömda på delstatsfängelset i Cold Mountain. En dag anländer en ny fånge till avdelningen. En jättelik svart man vid namn John Coffey, anklagad och dömd för att brutalt ha mördat två vita småflickor. Paul tar särskilt intresse för denna fånge, som inte visar några som helst tendenser till ett våldsamt beteende. Då händer något mycket underligt en dag. Något som liknar ett mirakel... THE GREEN MILE är regisserad av Frank Darabont (Nyckeln till frihet) och baserad på Stephen Kings roman med samma namn. Med bl a Tom Hanks, David Morse (De 12 apornas armé), James Cromwell (L.A. Konfidentiellt) och Michael Clarke Duncan (Bulworth).

It'll always be legendary, and will never lose it's touch, with such emotion packed scenes, and messages behind it. Truly unforgettable. From the start, to finish, a must watch, a film that never has a dull part, and will always have you emotionally bonded with it. 15.7.23

I watch this movie with my wife around the time it came out 2000 we cried almost through the movie and we saw the racism in the characters from the father of the girls to Percy and some of the inmates and the staff but we saw that some of the guards we not racists but had to do a job and they reaped the rewards of being in the light of an Angel.
