Julie (Cybill Shepherd) is a bored housewife searching for passion in her life. When she asks her friend Maggie (Barbara Feldon) how to find romantic excitement and release from her uninterested husband, Jerry (Charles Frank), Maggie suggests that Julie pursue relationships with other men. With the possibility of adultery in her head, Julie cannot stop herself from fantasizing about every man she comes across, from her doctor to an elevator operator.
