This historical romantic drama shares the compelling tale of Sobran Jodeau, an ambitious young peasant winemaker and the three loves of his life – his wife Celeste, the proudly intellectual baroness Aurora de Valday and Xas, a fallen angel who strikes up an unlikely but enduring friendship. Cannot agree with other reviewer. While the film has its imperfections it does have a quality about it that is worth watching.
