From visionary writer-director Terrence Malick comes this story based on real events, about an unsung hero, Franz Jägerstätter, who refused to fight for the Nazis in World War II. Beautiful movie. Beautiful acting. Watched on Good Friday. Fitting as Franz also sacrificed his life for others. Movie moves fast but slowly; simplicity may often feel as such.

Usual Terrence Malick "every frame is a painting" fare but lifted by August Diehl's and Valerie Pachner's incredible performances and a compelling story. Malick's best in a long while

Sat thru the whole movie for that? You got to be kidding me. Pointless movie, wasted my time, they had so many opportunities to make it a better movie.
