About this movie

Cultures collide when an American businessman (Tom Hanks) is sent to Saudi Arabia to close what he hopes will be the deal of a lifetime. Baffled by local customs and stymied by an opaque bureaucracy, he eventually finds his footing with the help of a wise- cracking taxi driver (Alexander Black) and a beautiful Saudi doctor (Sarita Choudhury).

Worth watching even though it's a bit of a slow starter. I am an American and I wonder what Saudi Arabian people feel about an English born woman of Indian decent playing a Saudi Arabian Muslim woman, who violates many of their Muslim customs, even doing a topless scene and a sex scene shortly there after which i am sure is very frowned upon in the Muslim culture.

Its always fun to watch a movie about a different culture, and having Tom Hanks play as a man in a life crisis tossed into the KSA was entertaining. I enjoyed the moments, and thought they were done well. I would have liked more of an ending than provided. I felt it was a fizzle after a great start and middle. Good movie..

I kept waiting for the movie to show a complex plot, interesting action, or something that is entertaining and intriguing; sadly that did not occur. This is not Tom Hanks at his best. It did have a few enlightening moments but nothing that would entice me to watch it again.
