Helen Callaghan (Candaele) for 5 years in the league and won the batting title in 1954. The documentary was seen by Penny Marshall and turned into the Columbia Pictures film starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Madonna

Who needs Madonna when you can see these great women ballplayers really hit the dirt in the skirt for real. Make sure to see this.
