When folk icon Irving Steinbloom passed away, he left a legacy of music and a family of performers he had shepherded to folk stardom: Mitch & Mickey (Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hare) were the epitome of young love until their partnership was torn apart by heartbreak; classic troubadours The Folksmen (Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer); and The New Main Street Singers (featuring John Michael Higgins, Jane Lynch and Parker Posey), the most meticulously color-coordinated "neuftet" ever to hit an amusement park near you. This movie is great for many reasons, the cast, the director and the humor are priceless. They also perfectly recreate the Folk Music sound and spirit of the 60s.
