An alcoholic and a drug addict, 23 year-old James has two options: treatment or death. Based on the best-selling book by James Frey with a Screenwriter by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sam Taylor-Johnson, the film also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Juliette Lewis, Giovanni Ribisi, and Odessa Young.

The book is better but I did like it. I don't know if it's something I'd go out of my way to watch had I not known the history behind the movie. A Millions Little Pieces was the first book I fell in love with. I wish I could give it a better rating. Some things I didn't quite understand... However, the actors were great. They played their characters well. I feel like there was a loose end or two, so I will probably watch again to see what I missed.

I enjoyed watching it because addiction runs in myself and family; it gave me great perspective. I did not read the book - but felt the movie was very well acted - (packed full of "A" list actors)

I've not seen the movie but I do remember him on Oprah first she was bragging on how the book was so good and real. Then the 2nd time she had him on she was giving him an ear beating for lying about all the stuff in the book. I dont care either way I'm not watching it
