When her husband’s illness suddenly worsens, Sonia (Jana Raluy) rushes to the insurance company to obtain emergency medical care. But after being kept waiting for hours, her application is summarily denied and she is left without treatment for her rapidly declining spouse. Running out of time and increasingly desperate, Sonia and her son Dario (Sebastian Aguirre Boëda) confront the treating doctor at his home, triggering a series of increasingly intense encounters that put them on the run down a spiral of violence and complicity.
