After her husband's death, Nikki's doing fine with seven-year-old Chloe. But then Nikki's sister Danielle, fleeing the cops and suspected of murder, abandons her infant daughter Cali, and Nikki is the only blood relative who can adopt her. Danielle is released early from prison, however, and conspires with her criminal boyfriend to get her daughter back... at any cost.
