2 and a half stars for special effects and original horror idea. Scenes where bloody bodies would slide up walls, dead bodies in bags would talk and stairs turning into swamps made this watchable. The acting was atrocious. The mother in the movie said every line in the exact same tone and the logic didn't make sense. In one scene Freddie teleports in front of her and 5 seconds later he's running after her. In another scene he walks through walls & then he can't at the end. It's ok at best!

Wes Cravens horror masterpiece, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. Starring Robert England, who plays the terrifying fiend Freddy Krueger. Who was a child murderer, and a bunch of parents years ago. Set him on fire , in his boiler room. Now he's killing again, only this time . He kills people, in there dreams. With his razor metal glove , that has razors as fingers. He's after the local teenagers now on Elm Street, looking for revenge on there parents for murdering him. A true horror classic

Saw this at the cinema five times. Brings back great memories. Even went to the extent of buying the film on video for £60. I have never jumped so many times during a movie (before or since). Classic!!
