Millionaire industrialist Steven Taylor is a man who has everything but what he craves most: the love and fidelity of his wife. A hugely successful player in the New York financial world, he considers her to be his most treasured acquisition. But she needs more than simply the role of dazzling accessory. Brilliant in her own right, she works at the U.N. and is involved with a struggling artist who fulfills her emotional needs. When her husband discovers her indiscretion, he sets out to commit the perfect murder and inherit her considerable trust fund in the bargain. Very little is what it seems in this thriller that is sizzling with suspense. For those who enjoy murder mysteries with a twist, this is a perfect movie for you. It's especially enjoyable because my favorite actors, Michael Douglas and Gweneth Paltrow are great to watch, and the added bonus of seeing the handsome Viggo Mortensen in his prime. This is one of my favorite murder mysteries and I have watched this too many times to count and it still keeps me on the edge of my seat throughout. If you like this genre of movies you won't be disappointed.

Michael Douglas plays another cold-hearted rich dude and Gwyneth Paltrow plays the trophy wife he wants to kill for her trust fund when his financial schemes go awry. Engrossing and fun despite these two meh leads, with a pre-LOTR Viggo Mortensen bringing all his charm, subtlety and skill to the part of the artist who loves Gwyneth--or does he? He shows more with the tiniest change of facial expression than most actors manage by screaming and throwing things.

This movie keep you on your toes. You really never know what is going to happen next. Really loved the movie.
