I loved this. Vittorio Storaro is one of the great cinematographers, and every frame is breathtaking, glowing with light. A warm-hearted story about people finding out who they are and what they value, laced with Woody's quirky humor, including some bright surprises. Each member of the cast reveals the character with empathy and style. New York City is itself an important character in the film, a loving tribute to Woody Allen's home town. The jazz soundtrack lifts the story and provides an atmospheric accompaniment to the action. I give this five stars: one of his best.

Although I sometimes felt the script was a little self conscious at times, I really enjoyed this movie. The GREAT soundtrack; lots of Errol Garner & some great tunes, kept everything moving along. The camera work was thoughtful and not too busy. The narrative had a few laugh-out-loud moments with some serious considerations that examined the distance between movie stars, directors, writers & journalists. Relationships, as always in a Woody Allen movie, fraught with difficult trajectories and fateful episodes. I waited for this film for two years (it was released in the USA in 2018) and can certainly say I will enjoy watching it again!

Excellent. The two lead actors look like children playing grown ups, but they rise to the occasion. Another Woody Allen peon to NY city
