When Anabel Greening (Mara Wilson) makes a wish for her father, Oliver (Robert Pastorelli), to be cast in a coveted role in a Broadway musical, Murray (Martin Short), a well-meaning but blundering male "fairy godmother," accidentally turns Oliver into a statue instead. To reverse the spell, Anabel and Murray must reclaim a collection of magic wands that have been stolen by the evil witch Claudia (Kathleen Turner) and her sidekick (Amanda Plummer).

I remember watching this when I was younger; it was so fun. The cast is great and the story is funny and well-written. It's a classic -- a little girl works to save her father after her male fairy godmother makes a blunder and freezes him as a statue. Magic and adventure ensues!

Love this movie! i grew up watchig it and i couldnt stop now i still wanna watch it all day everyday!!!

A Simple Wish was one of my favorite films as a child! I family begged me to stop watching it!
