A Star Is Born Encore features nearly 12 minutes of extended music performances, intimate jam sessions with Jackson and Ally, and all new scenes. Seasoned musician Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) discovers—and falls in love with—struggling artist Ally (Lady Gaga). She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer… until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.

Surprisingly superb modern remake of the 1930s classic. Takes the good elements of all three previous film versions and combines things into an eclectic thoroughly modernized classic. I've seen all of them, and this Lady Gaga version is possibly the best, at least since the original. It's classic anti-alcoholism message stays intact and is depicted possibly more devastating than in previous versions.

Although the 2 leads were great singers and actors, I felt like it was almost trying to glorifies alcoholism. And to change the ending took away from their love story and just made it a love story between him and the bottle.
