Academy Award winner Bette Davis stars in a dual role as twin sisters--one sweet and demure, the other scheming and philandering. But when one twin dies, can the other step into her place and lead A Stolen Life. When kindly Kate Bosworth (Davis--All About Eve; Now, Voyager) meets Bill Emerson (Glenn Ford--Gilda, Blackboard Jungle) on Martha's Vineyard, she falls instantly in love. But when Bill meets Kate's sister, the conniving Pat (also Davis), he falls for the evil twin. Now, some years later when Pat dies in a boating accident, Kate gets a chance to live with the man she still loves--but can the demure Kate convince Bill that she is his lying, cheating wife?
