Featuring the voice talents of Drake Bell (Superhero Movie, “Drake and Josh”), YouTube star Justine “iJustine” Ezarik and Jane Lynch (“Glee”, Wreck-It Ralph), "A Stork's Journey" follows Richard, a sparrow orphaned at birth and raised by storks who believes that he is a stork, too! But when winter comes and the storks prepare to migrate to Africa, his stork family must reveal his true identity and leave him behind in the forest with the other sparrows since he would not survive the long journey. Determined to prove he is a stork after all, Richard ventures south on an epic adventure, accompanied by friends big and small, to unleash his true potential and be reunited with his family.

This movie was much like a low budget Rio meets any other movie where an animal thinks it's another animal. I was terribly disappointed. It met all the cliché criteria for animated animal movie: the sparrow that thinks he's a stork, the bird that can't fly and the bird that is clearly mentally ill. The dialogue was so cheesy and stilted that it was like a cold read, not a finished film. It was hard to feel connected to any of the characters and actually care what happened to them. The voices were also just awful. Jane Lynch and some one liners were the only thing that saved this movie for me. She's great. The rest were annoying and forgettable.

When the movie first started i thought...Oh man here we go with yet another tale of the ugly duckling..Still i was lucky enough not to just turn it off and go do something else as the story grabbed my attention quick. I was into the movie and routing Richard on before I even realized it. Loved it from start to finish...Great story and great casting...Perfect for Kids and adults alike

This movie isn't great, but it isn't terrible. The most annoying thing, in my opinion, is the over-the-top camp diva male parakeet. Have we had enough of this type of character? This has been outdated since the nineties. And boy was it annoying! I could have done without this character altogether. The plot was a fairly typical one in which characters get into one dangerous situation after another. This makes for a pretty shallow storyline but it moves the movie quickly. The animation isn't what you've come to expect from big budget studios like Pixar, but is much better than bombs like "Food Fight." In the end, I'd say if you can get it cheap and your kids like it it's probably fine.
