Based on the international best-selling book, A STREET CAT NAMED BOB is a moving and uplifting feel-good true story.

When James Bowen finds an injured ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his
sheltered accommodation, he has no idea just how much his life is about to change.
James lives hand to mouth on the streets of London and the last thing he needs
is a pet. Yet James can’t resist helping the strikingly intelligent tom cat, whom
he quickly christens Bob. He slowly nurses Bob back to health and then sends the cat
on his way, imagining he will never see him again. But Bob has other ideas.

Soon the two are inseparable and their diverse, comic and occasionally dangerous
adventures transform both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other's
troubled pasts.

Great adaptation of the book. It does take some dramatic license in the telling of James Bowen and Bob's story, adding characters not mentioned in the books or combining multiple people into a single character, it stays true to the heartfelt love and trust between a man and a cat. James makes a cameo at the end (keep an eye out for that) and Bob portrays himself for a significant portion of the film. Luke Treadaway was extremely well cast, he has the presence and the singing voice to carry the part and his interactions with his feline costar(s) put the old adage of never work with kids or animals to shame. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves the books, to anyone who is a fan of the myriad of cat videos online and to anyone who is a fan of Roger Spottiswoode as his direction feels quite natural and the emotional moments don't feel forced.

Love this movie everyone trust me this is a must see its changed my thoughts on wanting to give up, after seeing this makes me want to live life again thank you.

I have never seen it, but the previews look really heart warming. I want to see it. I Love films like that. 🙏💖
