When two women drove their six adopted children off a cliff in Northern California, their friends and families were left with not only the loss of what they thought was an almost perfect family filled with love and light, they were left without the ability to make sense out of the tragedy, when attacks on social media began to pour in from all angles almost immediately. The tragedy galvanized their entire community, at first in their defense, because the family seemed so committed to truth and social justice, but as the facts on the women regarding the adoptions and the condition of the children began to come out, it became harder to defend their friends. A thorough investigation and public inquest revealed unfathomable details that were hidden behind the closed doors of the Hart's family home. This is a story of truth and perceptions; involving adoption and interstate oversight and leaves us all with questions about addressing mental health while also wondering how to hang on to humanity and compassion through today's rapid paced social and mainstream media onslaught.

90% of this doc is interviews with friends of the adoptive mother's who murdered six beautiful children. You become physically angry watching so as to say what they did was justified because of their mental illness. To harm a child is NEVER ok and this documentary did an absolutely terrible job of noting that. Literally 56 minutes of watching their friends try and justify MURDERING SIX BABIES WHO HAD BEEN ABUSED WELL BEFORE THEIR DEATH. Do NOT waste your money buying this doc.

This documentary is revolting and racist, it is completely one-sided and biased towards justifying this white savior couple. It preaches "positivity" rather than exploring the systemic and racial problems that occured. It stereotypes black people as being dangerous for calling out racism, and in doing this it demonizes and minimizes the Black Lives Matter movement. This documentary is trash, don't purchase it.

This is disgusting. Don't rent or buy this, this is just a movie about their friends defending the abusive parents, and trashing the people who stood up for the children. They made it seem as if being depressed was a good enough reason to starve and murder your children. This movie is terrible, excuses were being made for the parents right and left and the children were forgotten. I can't believe they took the time to make this and thought this was a good idea. If I could give it zero stars I would.
