When they decided to marry just as apartheid was being introduced into South Africa, it caused an international uproar. But their passionate romance triumphed over every obstacle and changed the course of African history.

Such a beautiful & inspirational true story. I was incredibly moved not only by the love that Seretse & Ruth shared together but also their determination not to give in to the racism & bigotry of the late 1940's. The movie is extremely well acted by all involved, most especially the performances of the two leads, David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike. I loved this movie so much I will be purchasing it so I can enjoy it many more times to come. A highly recommended, A+ rated movie in my opinion. Don't miss it!!
