Starring Robert Redford, Nick Nolte and Emma Thompson, A Walk in the Woods is a hilarious and touching comedy based on the book by celebrated travel writer Bill Bryson. Reluctant to settle into retirement, Bryson (Redford) challenges himself to hike the legendary Appalachian Trail over 2,100 miles through some of the most spectacular and rugged wilderness in America. But the peace and tranquillity he hopes to find on the grand trail proves elusive when he agrees to make the journey with his old high school buddy Katz (Nolte); a wisecracking, larger-than-life personality who is out of shape and arguably out of his mind. Book was better then the movie. Read the book and save your money.

It was a truly entertaining movie with Nick Nolte's comedic role and Robert Redford as an accredited actor, this was definitely worth watching, my 17yr found it quite hilarious as well. Comedy and Drama what more can you ask for? Worth a peek
