In a coastal village in India, Jesu and Peter, who are childhood friends, make a living through fishing. The antagonist Alphonso, a gangster, terrorises the community and wants to bring all of them under his control. When he learns about Phillips's discovery of the black pearls off the coast, he nefariously plans to get all of them, thus disturbing the ocean. Peter falls in love with Suzy D’Silva and eventually gets married to her. When honeymooning, Suzy goes swimming and disappears. Meanwhile, Jesu and the villagers discover that the coast is under threat by an indestructible man-eating shark. What happens to Alphonso and the livelihood of the fishermen? Will Jesu be able to kill the shark. This forms the rest of the story.
