I like the idea of trying to make a Hanukkah holiday film, but this is just a basic Adam Sandler movie just animated. This movie is very adult it deals with themes of alcoholism and depression plus a lot of fart jokes. I couldn't make heads or tails of it. If there was a deeper message about Hanukkah or the Jewish faith then I missed it. Overall, I think this had the potential to become a holiday staple for years. But instead it's a bargain bin DVD.

What did I just watch?! Nobody behaves admirably and Davey is a jerk who makes fun of people. Especially the deer bullcrap eating is disgusting. This is a big insult to Adam Sandler and the Jews who celebrate Chanukah. Sandler might have well thrown his career out the window with this. Watch only if you are not easily offended or if you have an amazing sense of humor.

Saw the Nostalgia Critic review this so I decided to watch it. It was ok....not much to it though. The story is nice, but the old man and wife have very annoying voices...get some aspirin ready after this film if high pitched voices give you a headache.
