Yang Ke, an actor at the Beijing Opera, discovers the world of prostitution, offering his services both to men and women. With devotion and passion, he surrenders his body while also searching for love. But all around him, hypocrisy reigns and devours him.

The part next to the end I would consider as the climax or turning point was very disturbing and gruesome without having everything involved be overly visible for a long period. The periodic flashes to the objects were clear enough as was the scene after. Viewers be warned even if you are usually comfortable with certain violence or gore.
