One thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become mankind's new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai. When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai's craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, he gets his chance.

This was one of the most silly rubbish films i've ever seen. First of all it's practically the Will and Jaden Smith show as hardly any other characters get enough screen time and dialogue. Even though the plot of the movie is so basic, which there's nothing wrong with that I guess, the acting is very bad and pretty much laughable especially from Will Smith trying to be all deadly serious.

Almost from the opening shots I regretted buying this film, but I was determined to watch it through at least to see what I'd wasted the money on. Jaden has got to realise that he can't act to save his life, he wants to be like his dad. Sorry, but it generally goes mother- son, father -daughter. So the acting was crap, but putting this to one side the actual story itself was terrible, the director has no imagination...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Will was never a great actor he was a wonderful fun guy he has a nice personality So I enjoy will smith being himself its fun.. but his son has neither the talent nor the personality. This film was sadly exactly what I expected. But your young or havent seen many films or you enjoyed karate kid remake you mihtt like this. 2 stars cause will smith gave me many happy moments but again deserves none.
