Life hasn’t been too hot for Josh Framm, a 12-year old boy who just lost his father and has moved to a whole new city. Without any friends and an inclination toward shyness, Josh prefers to practice alone rather than try out for the team. That all changes when Josh meets Buddy, a runaway golden retriever with a wicked talent for shooting hoops. They become fast friends and quickly form a dynamic duo on the school basketball team. Their talent generates a media frenzy that attracts Buddy’s greedy former owner, who wants to cash in on his suddenly lucrative pup. Now Josh and Buddy must outwit and outmaneuver this brute, while still leading their school team to victory at the state finals!
