Alicia Keys achieved instant success in 2001 with her debut album Songs In A Minor. A No.1 album in the US and No.6 in the UK it has sold in millions around the world. The album won a Grammy for Best R&B Album and there were three Grammys for the song Fallin, including Song Of The Year. In addition Alicia Keys won the Grammy for Best New Artist, an extraordinary haul for such a young performer. In 2003 her second album, The Diary Of Alicia Keys, was released and again took the US No.1 spot. The album was followed by a tour that visited Europe, Asia, Africa and of course America, with sell out concerts wherever she went. This program follows Alicia Keys at home and on tour across 2003/4. There are interviews with Alicia in different locations, performance footage from early in her career and live footage from the tour. There are backstage exclusives and extended segments of Alicia in Monte Carlo and on her first trip to Africa and a behind the scenes look at the filming of the video for Girlfriend. It is a candid portrait of her feelings and experiences all told in her own words and with her full co-operation.
