Lt. Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is the lone survivor when her crippled spaceship crash lands on Fiorina 161, a bleak wasteland inhabited by former inmates of the planet's maximum security prison. Ripley's fears that an Alien was aboard her craft are confirmed when the mutilated bodies of ex-cons begin to mount. Without weapons or modern technology of any kind, Ripley must lead the men into battle against the terrifying creature. And soon she discovers a horrifying fact about her link with the Alien, a realization that may compel Ripley to try destroying not only the horrific creature but herself as well.

BROKE MOST RECORDS BEFORE IT WAS EVEN ON GENERAL RELEASE. ALIEN 3 WAS THE PINNACLE OF THE WORK THOSE INVOLVED WHERE PREPARED TO PLACE INTO IT FROM ITS HIGH LINE ART HOUSE EDITS AND DIRECTION AND CINEMA TO ITS ENSEMBLED CAST AND CASTINGS FROM THE INWARD LAUGH AT THE REVELATION OF '89' TO THE PURE JOY OF THE LOCATION EFFECTS AND STORYLINE EXCEPTIONAL ACTING AND ART DIRECTION BRING THE ISOLATION OF FURY 181 DOUBLE Y CHROMO FACILITY TO LIFE AND THE CONTINUATION OF THE UNDISPUTED KING OF MOVIE FRANCHISES. EPIC 5 OUT OF 5 A MOVIE THAT WILL APEAL TO FAN AND TOURIST ALIKE.

Alien 3 remains a beautiful and underrated genre film in whichever version you see it in (I personally adore the unofficial Assembly Cut or Special Edition as Golick's fate as well as so many plot inconsistencies are cleared up). See it on a big screen with great digital sound and in the best resolution possible to get the best experience.

We all know that Fincher disowned this film, and that Fox royally messed with things behind the scenes to make him do that... Putting that aside, the Assembly Cut of Alien:3 is by far my favourite of the series, and should be required viewing for anyone with a passing interest even.
