Absolutely sucks. Yeah, let's think about cloning her like, 400 years later and expect an alien to be inside her! Look, her genetic make up wouldn't even have the Alien there even if you happened to get something from Fiorina 161, she still wouldn't have had the alien inside her from cloning her. I swear, after two times of watching this, I thought the second time of watching this was even worse than watching it the first time!!! Sorely dissapointed, no reason to do this movie at all, and number 3 was a good ending for the whole series.

Alien 3 was disappointing but daring. The Special Edition is a work of art. No, it's not the sequel anyone wanted to Aliens, but it has depth and a real Giger Alien. It keeps your attention every time you watch it. Alien: Resurrection's main problem is that there are no likable characters in it, not even the Ripley clone. Centuries after Prometheus, no one has been able to find or capture a Xenomorph? What has happened to LV-223 or the Paradise planet in Alien: Covenant? Weyland-Yutani is gone, but Earth military is still trying to create an Alien bioweapon? No one at all has checked out the Engineer technology on LV-223?? And if any Engineers still exist, wouldn't they interest scientists more than acid-blooded biomechanical insects? Ripley's sacrifice in Alien 3 meant nothing, and this movie just makes the prequels seem even more unnecessary. David and Ash (same mind?) consider the Xenomorph "the perfect organism." But LV-223 alone has technology that should interest scientists much more than the Aliens. And Elizabeth Shaw sent a message from the planet. Alien: Resurrection is just a creepy vehicle for reviving Ripley in a spaceship setting with an "art film" tone that doesn't work. A miserably designed "human/Alien hybrid" handily wipes out its Queen mother near the end, before Ripley kills it with pity. "Perfect" organisms? If the scientists want perfect, why don't they explore Engineer relics? How can they not know about them? Resurrection goes for a Dark Horse Comics feel, but the movie has no heart, and I really wanted to like it. But it's as dreary as AVP: Requiem. For Alien fans only, and maybe people who'd appreciate its absurd but dull European aesthetic.

Eh, Ripley shouldn't have been back meaner than ever. She was supposed to be dead. The gangsters were also a problem. Creators take a break with the stupid ideas
